Cervical cancer caused about 10 in 100,000 deaths in the 70s and about 4 in 100,000 in the 2017-19 and it accounts for less than 1% of all cancer deaths.

Scientists think the proteins detected by PCR are viral not endogenous but the proteins are still real and the mistake is genuine confusion in the majority. And of course prevention would be far better.
PCR detects little sequences (allegedly), not proteins. And if only 0.1% of those who test positive for "HPV" go on to develop cervical cancer... what a joke.

I don't see how sequences that are found in 80% of women can be associated with cervical cancer in a meaningful way, especially if only 0.1% of them develop cervical cancer. An association would mean that among the 20% who test negative (on the tests that don't test for a virus) there is an even lower chance of getting cervical cancer. I would never agree to one of these tests, but if one were forced onto me and I tested positive my thought would be: "So what?" I'd just continue living my life as healthily as I can manage and not give it a 2nd thought.
Christine, you are not understanding. The evidence doesn't concern itself with whether it's meaningful to be used as a screening tool or not. The evidence shows that when cervical tumours were sequenced (and when breast tumours were sequenced) some 'novel' sequences not seen before were invariably found in them but not in the surrounding tissue. They are obviously involved in some way but erroneously called 'HPV" or "HIV' respectively. They fact that they are present at some point in 80% of women doesn't preclude them from being part of the homeostatic process. Though it would preclude them from being useful as diagnostic tools, as I have repeatedly said. Don't bother with them.
But as regards the smear test, they may well save your life.

Everything is dubious. I have no trust whatsoever in these quacks. They are just nagging little pests. I've had 2 texts over the past two days saying they are contacting me because I have a disease that needs treatment. I've not seen them in over 3 years! It is actually about blood pressure - and they want me to fill in my current reading. I have monitored myself for years - they were plying the tablets which were making my BP drop and I was fainting. Decided enough was enough. I told them I would not be taking anymore. Yesterday "it's not too late to send your reading in to us." Yet it doesn't go to the surgery - it is an outside source. I deleted (unable to block) and ignored like I usually do. I have not been or taken part in cancer screenings - they can't do anything if they find "something" so why worry, enjoy life and get away from these charlatans.
Sorry that's happening... If you should somehow get cancer, there ARE things that can be done, you can be cured, but it's unlikely to be from allopathic anything, they are shills. That said, Naturopaths are a different animal. Find one you like if you need a doc. xo
