Euro CDC, EFSA & Greek institutions fail scientific evidence challenges on entire Poxviridae family of viruses

In October 2025, a contact in Greece messaged me:

“One of the most disturbing developments is the Greek government’s current action to systematically decimate the livestock industry by targeting sheep and goat populations—cattle are likely to follow—under the false pretext of a non-existent sheeppox and goatpox imaginary viruses. This is having catastrophic consequences, not only wiping out a crucial food source for the Greek population and beyond but also indirectly leading to the destruction of livestock farmers/ breeders who are horrified by the government’s actions. It is a truly tragic situation…”

At their suggestion, I contacted several Greek and European institutions, challenging them to demonstrate that they hold records containing foundational evidence necessary to show the existence of these claimed viral health threats, or any other virus of the Poxviridae family, or even of the relevant illnesses being “contagious”/transmitted between people/animals.

Not even 1 such record was provided or cited by any of the 4 institutions.

Below are descriptions of my requests, the institutions’ responses and lack thereof, and links to all of the communications.

(Free online translators can be used to translate any Greek communications that aren’t already translated below - just copy and paste text into one of them).

European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)

ECDC is 1 of 5 agencies comprising the EU Cross-agency One Health Task Force. On November 3, 2025, ECDC posted A Joint Statement of the EU Cross-agency One Health Task Force and the European and Central Asia Quadripartite on One Health. The statement urges enhanced global and regional coordination and strategic investment in One Health governance, leadership and approaches, in order to deal with animal welfare and food security threats - including a list of conditions that, according to the establishment, are contagious and caused by viruses. Lumpy skin disease is specifically mentioned in that statement.

On October 19, 2025 I requested all studies in the possession, custody or control of the ECDC, authored by anyone, anywhere, ever:

1. that scientifically prove or provide evidence of the existence of the alleged goatpox virus, sheeppox virus, lumpy skin disease virus or any other alleged virus of the Poxviridae family,

2. or (if no records exist for #1) that at least describe the purification of particles that are claimed to be any of these alleged viruses directly from bodily fluid/tissue of so-called "hosts",

3. or, wherein the purported "genome" of any of these alleged viruses was found intact in the bodily fluid/tissue of a "host" (as opposed to fabricated in silico, aka computer modelled),

4. or, that scientifically demonstrate transmission / contagion of any of the illnesses that are allegedly caused by any of said purported viruses,

5. or, wherein any test that purportedly relates to any of these alleged viruses was validated.

Because freedom of information legislation often does not apply to records that are already publicly available, I asked (as I always have) that if any records match the description of requested records and are currently available elsewhere, that the institution please assist by providing enough information about each record so that it can be identified and accessed with certainty (i.e. title, author(s), date, journal, location) and that URLs be provided where possible (pgs 1-2).

On October 19, 2025, “The Info Team at ECDC” responded (pg 3). Instead of providing or citing responsive studies, or admitting that ECDC doesn’t have any, they stated that of all the (imagined) viruses of the Poxviridae family only smallpox and mpox (monkeypox) viruses are notifiable and the remainder “are not under ECDC’s surveillance”.

The anonymous “Team” then referred me to this ECDC smallpox page that does not link to any responsive studies and this ECDC monkeypox page that does not link to any responsive studies, and signed off with “Kind regards”.

In other words, they indirectly confessed that ECDC doesn’t have even 1 responsive study for any of the other alleged viruses and they weren’t willing to specify even 1 study for the supposed smallpox or monkeypox viruses… because if they did then I and others would point out show how ridiculous the studies are. Challenge: failed.

In 2020 ECDC’s director showed that ECDC relied on pseudoscientific “covid” publications and had no scientific documentation showing the existence of SARS-COV-2. In 2022 ECDC admitted that they had no scientific evidence of the supposed monkeypox virus. In 2023, ECDC admitted the same again regarding the imagined “H5N1 avian influenza virus” and cited pseudoscience as evidence.

Yet below is an example of how these “One Health” scammers promote themselves:

Greece’s Ministry of Rural Development and Food & Greece’s National Public Health Organization

October 24, 2025: I sent the same request that was sent to ECDC to 2 Greek institutions: the Ministry of Rural Development and Food (pgs 1-3), and the National Public Health Organization (pgs 1-3). The requests were sent in both English and Greek.

October 29 - 31, 2025: The Secretariat of a Greek ethics committee contacted me, attached forms implying that I sought raw data and a research license and attempted to have me fill them out so that the committee could assess my requests. Later they claimed that I must complete the applications in case the studies I sought were not available for public use. When I asked for the provisions of the relevant legislation that required me to do so at this stage, they had no answer and I never heard from them again (pgs 4-20, pgs 4-20).

November 21, 2025: I followed up with both institutions (pg 21, pg 21).

December 19, 2025: I told both institutions that I had been waiting almost 2 months and would publish their response or lack thereof anytime after December 26, 2025 (pg 22, pg 22).

December 22, 2025:

The “Citizens Service” division of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food advised that they had sent a polite reminder to the “competent service” at the Ministry. They also suggested 2 email addresses for me to follow up with, 1 of which had already been included on my original request. On February 11, 2026 I contacted both addresses (pg 23-24). As of April 6, 2026 there has been no response from anyone at EFSA. Challenge: failed.

On the same day, someone from the National Public Health Organization confessed that that institution has no records (pg 23) and immediately pivoted in the same breath to the following “veterinary” excuse, even though the imagined Poxviridae family is said to include smallpox virus and other viruses that are supposedly a risk to people and for which “vaccines” are offered (emphasis added):

“The National Public Health Organization (EODY) does not keep records of primary research studies or experimental documentation such as those described in your request, nor is it a competent body for the scientific evaluation of purely veterinary diseases. The relevant subjects fall mainly under the competence of European and international organizations and the competent veterinary authorities.

For general scientific information on the issues you raise, you can refer to European and international organizations (e.g. ECDC, WOAH, FAO)…”

WOAH = World Organization for Animal Health. Some of their ludicrously illogical and unscientific protocols were highlighted in an earlier FOI newsletter regarding the bird flu hoax. FAO = Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. ECDC’s embarrassing failure is above.

I responded to the National Public Health Organization’s confession on January 17, 2026 (pgs 24-26) and of course received no response. Challenge: failed.

European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)

The European Food Safety Authority is another member of the farcical Cross-agency One Health Task Force.

On February 26, 2026, I decided to directly challenge the European Food Safety Authority’s Chief Scientist, Carlos Gonçalo das Neves, since his email address is readily available on EFSA’s website. According to EFSA’s bio, he:

“…previously served as Head of Virology and Head of Food Safety & Emerging Threats at the NVI…

Carlos is a veterinarian (DVM – Technical University of Lisbon) and holds a PhD in veterinary sciences (Norwegian School of Veterinary Sciences). He also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine… he has been appointed as a member and co-chair of the One Health High-Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP), the scientific and strategic advisory group to the Quadripartite organisations – Food and Agriculture Organisation, UN Environment Programme, World Health Organization and World Organisation for Animal Health…”

I politely challenged EFSA’s “Chief Scientist” to provide or cite the same types of records listed in the previous requests above (pg 1). My email began:

“Dear Carlos Gonçalo das Neves, Chief Scientist, European Food Safety Authority,

I am writing to you with a challenge and will be publishing your response or lack thereof, in the public interest.

I will wait until at least March 16, 2026 before publishing your response or lack thereof. If you need more time to respond, please let me know.

The challenge is for you (or anyone else at the European Food Safety Authority to whom you may wish to delegate), to provide or cite studies authored by anyone, anywhere, ever: …”

The next morning I received 2 responses from EFSA citing “Request Number: 00023259”, “Subject: scientific evidence of any virus of the Poxviridae family?” and a deadline of March 20, 2026 (pgs 2-3).

March 20, 2026 came and went with no further communication from anyone at EFSA.

I waited another 10 days and on March 30, 2026 followed up with a polite note to this former Head of Virology at the Norwegian Veterinary Institute, current Chief Scientist for EFSA and current member and co-chair of the One Health High-Level Expert Panel (pg 4).

“Dear Carlos Gonçalo das Neves, Chief Scientist, European Food Safety Authority,

This is a reminder that you have missed my initial challenge deadline of March 16, 2026, and also the March 20, 2026 timeline cited by ESFA administration for what they are calling “request 00023259”.

I will soon publish my challenge and report your lack of response.”

There has been no response from anyone at EFSA. Challenge: failed.

According to my contact in Greece:

"It is with deep sadness that I observe these situations continuing unabated, now with a new twist in the narrative: the reappearance of the – non‑existent – foot‑and‑mouth disease virus.

The recent publication in the National Library of Medicine once again highlights the pseudo‑science surrounding yet another non‑existent virus, specifically the foot‑and‑mouth disease virus.

The focus has now shifted to the island of Lesvos, Greece, with its highly significant livestock production – a true pillar of life and livelihood for countless families. With only a single alleged case, authorities are enforcing extremely harsh measures, unprecedented even by their own scientific standards. The complete culling of entire herds is not merely a “health intervention”; it amounts to the destruction of dreams, lifelong efforts, and the very tradition of the local livestock communities.

Sadly, the same pattern is unfolding in Cyprus, where the government is implementing similar measures, striking at the heart of yet another livestock‑dependent community:

Consistent with established patterns, these purported cases are identified using fraudulent testing methods, such as PCR and ELISA. The application of such tests to justify extreme interventions reflects the familiar deceptive approach.

These publicly available sources speak for themselves and reveal the tragic reality on the ground.

The people of the countryside, who have supported their animals and their land with sweat and devotion, now face the loss of their future.”
